CME scales up operations with a new office and a bigger team
WEDNESDAY, 5 June 2024: The Center for Market Education (CME) is scaling up operations with a new office and a bigger team. Since May 2024, CME moved its operations at Empire SOHO, inside the NU Empire complex in Subang Jaya (See

The new structure is still led by CME founder and CEO, Dr Carmelo Ferlito, an economist and businessperson living in Malaysia since 2011. As an economist, he devotes his research mainly to macroeconomic (economic growth, capital theory, monetary and fiscal policies, business cycles), entrepreneurship and housing policies.
Dr Ferlito’s right arm is now the new General Manager, Mr Nick Chong. Nick holds a Bachelor of Commerce Economics and Finance from the University of Wollongong (Australia) and has developed extensive know-how on finance, office administration, logistic and customer service experience working with multinational companies from Europe and Canada.
For further expanding its activity, CME recently hired Ms Amni Hidayah as Business Development & Research Manager. Amni holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics from the University of Durham (United Kingdom) and has 15 years of experience in advisory and research.
The operation team is completed by Ms Sammie Lee, the Chief Accounting Officer. Sammie holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Wollongong (Australia) and has developed extensive accounting and finance experience working with multinational companies from Europe and Canada

CME is growing in Indonesia too, thanks to a passionate team led by Country Manager Mr Alfian Banjaransari: a psychology bachelor’s degree holder from the University of Indonesia, he later continued to pursue his master’s degree on innovation management at the University of Manchester.
The Indonesian team can count on the long-term business experience of Mr Chandra Rambey (CME-ID President), the CEO of Provalindo Nusa and the Vice President of the Real Estate Association Indonesia in Jakarta.
CME-ID is supported by a Media Relation Manager, Mr Andhika, a senior editor writing in particular about politics, economy and technology, while the research team is led by Economist Mr Alfi Syahrin: a graduate of the University of Padjajaran, Alfi’s career began as an economic researcher at his university, conducting research projects for the public and private sector; his interests cover a wide range of topics, from Bayesian econometrics, public policy, to property markets.
